Hello, my name is Lorna Reilly. I am a fully qualified, insured and supervised Psychotherapist with Garda Clearance, accredited with the Irish Association for Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (MIAHIP). I have undertaken further training to work creatively with teenagers and through play therapy with children.
My primary Diploma is from the Tivoli Institute, Dublin and my Certificate in Child Psychotherapy is from the Children's Therapy Centre. I have also trained in the Resnick model of couple's counselling and have found this to be a useful addition to my practice. My original training is Integrative and Humanistic encompassing the major schools and methods, Psychodynamic, Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Jungian theories and Gestalt. The Child Psychotherapy training involved play therapy (non directive and directive) sandplay, art, drama, storytelling, and I have found these methods excellent at engaging teenagers and children.
I have worked with Accord for a number of years with both individuals and couples, I completed my clinical practice hours at Dundalk Counselling Centre and I have also worked in schools, primary and secondary, with teenagers and children. Alongside maintaining a private practice I am currently employed in Child and Family Services. I work from home and offer a safe, comfortable setting and a professional, confidential service.
